It's bad enough to litter our streets and parks, but littering our beaches and ocean has far more serious consequences: killing marine animals and turtles. See: Queensland Coastal Management.
Littering is simply not good etiquette. Please think twice the next time you toss a piece of paper, wrapping, or a plastic bag somewhere it doesn't belong. Place all trash in its proper receptacle, even if you have to carry it back home and stink up your car. It is not, nor should ever be, anyone else's responsibility to pick up after you. Period.
Here are a few reminders of where not to litter:
- On the street or road
- In the lunch room or cafeteria
- At a coffee house or restaurant
- At a public park or other public facility
|
- In a taxi
- At a beach or campground
- In a store
- On the bus or subway
- At the movies or theatre
|
Unfortunately, we live in difficult times where if you see someone littering, your first inclination is not to mention it. Yet, there are times and places you could say something, such as: "Maam, I think you dropped this candy wrapper? If you need, there's a trash bin just over there."
A New Service: Send Out Cards
In this the heaviest month of sending out cards, I thought I would take a moment to repeat the notice and offer about a great new service I am using called Send Out Cards.
Why not send personalized, handwritten cards, by regular mail, from the ease of your computer? I’ve been using Send Out Cards for over a year, with great fun and success. Please review the information on my website and take advantage of the FREE sample I am offering you, as my gift to try the service. Use it to send a special holiday card! Click here!
No longer will you need to go to the store to stock up on greeting cards, only to find you do not have on hand the particular card you want. And, no longer will you be without postage stamps to send it, or without time to get it to a mailbox. You will do it all via your computer, 24/7.This service is such a convenient way to send a card to someone most dear to you in your business or personal life, following a business lunch, when you receive a gift, or to show your appreciation for a party you just attended. Now there are no more excuses!
My best personal wishes to you, your family, and associates this holiday season.
Happy Holidays!
