Happy Lunar New Year 4705, Year of the Boar on Sunday, 18 February 2007.

Because I am of Chinese ancestry, it’s fun to mark the beginning of my year with the lunar New Year. It gives me a chance to catch my breath, as January 1 always arrives too quickly, following the hectic December holiday season.

Lunar New Year marks the end of winter and beginning of spring, a time for family reunions, remembering ancestors, and giving thanks.

Take a moment to review the tips on celebrating this fun holiday, as shown in our January 2004 tip on Ten Ways to Celebrate the New Year – Chinese style .

To kick-off the year, watch me in this 3-minute video, produced by www.bnet.com/.  It addresses one of the most often-asked questions in my seminars: “How do I introduce someone properly?”

After viewing the video, please don’t hesitate to contact me at info@advancedettiquette.com with any further questions. I’d enjoy hearing from you. To kick-off the year, here's a tip that was first developed by www.bnet.com. It addresses one of the most often-asked questions in my seminars: How do I introduce someone properly?

Bnet.com video on "Proper Introduction"

P.S. Among my many irritations on how people mispronounce various words, please be mindful of how to properly pronounce the month of February. It has a "r" in the middle of the word... pronounced "Fe-brew-ary," not Feb-u-ary.

Happy practicing!!!
