AI Composite of Growth, Gratitude, Thanksgiving

Growth and gratitude have been the main themes of my year.  As I write this article in November, Thanksgiving tips are being added…

  1. Growth:
Earlier this year, I made a conscious decision to reconnect with my personal development journey by re-engaging with a daily podcast called “Growth Day,” hosted by Brendon Burchard.

Brendon has been an inspiring person in my life for over a decade. I have closely followed his work and engaged with his programs since 2008. Returning to his podcasts as I work to rebuild both my life and my business, his messages resonate with me more profoundly than ever before. The insights he shares have gained deeper significance, offering renewed inspiration and practical wisdom that support my journey of personal healing and professional growth, while also guiding me to recognize how civility and etiquette are equally important components of personal and professional development.

I rarely endorse or recommend anyone publicly, as I am doing here. However, Brendon genuinely stands above all others I’ve had as a personal growth coach.

(Let me know if you decide to make personal development a way of life, as I have. I’d love to share additional perspectives on how personal development, civility, and etiquette are the most compatible approaches in life.)

  2. Gratitude:
Gratitude has become my top core value and principle. I believe everyone should show more gratitude in life as the best path to a peaceful and fulfilling life.

Tip:  This week, start a list of as many names of people you care about as you can. The simple act of writing a person’s name on paper, electronic or otherwise, sends a message into the universe that you are thinking of them with joy and love. It doesn’t matter whether you are on good terms with the person or not; just thinking of them and writing down their name on your “thinking of you” list makes all the difference.

Reach out to at least one person each week. Use November and December as an opportunity to connect with someone on your list. Send them a postcard, a note by regular mail… and yes, even a personal email is acceptable, or give the person a phone call. Then, rereading and updating your list of names weekly will also help send joy and love into the universe.

    Make amends, with heartfelt thoughts:
As challenging as it may be, always forgive everyone for all the hurt they’ve caused you and for any hurt you’ve caused them. Practice and learn to be resilient whenever adverse situations happen. Being hurtful to others only damages yourself and will never lead to a positive outcome. (Review the article on how Blame and Revenge never work.)

    Three additional reminders about Gratitude:
I remain inspired to write about gratitude as often as possible, knowing we all need regular reminders of this essential core value… Enjoy these extra reminders:

  3. Thanksgiving:
No matter where you are in the world, enjoy this month and day as an opportunity to celebrate all the goodness, love, and joy that life offers us if we open our eyes to see it. And, when we do, it’s the greatest path to true happiness.
