Let's Celebrate Diwali!
Celebrate Diwali with a unique Indian style dinner!
Attend this one-of-a-kind cultural dining experience to learn all the ins and outs of Indian dining, as part of Advanced Etiquette's annual strategy to present all three ways we humans eat. We're starting in November 2026 with Indian cuisine and eating with hands; February 2027 will cover eating with chopsticks; and, once a year, our Successful Entertaining and Formal Dining seminar, learning how to navigate a 9-course European-style formal dinner with forks and knives. Stay tuned to attend all three...
Meanwhile:
Engage your senses and learn to eat the Indian way! (Hint: it involves bread and rice.)
This casual social training workshop will be led by long-time San Francisco chef Ranjan Dey - star of the documentary series "My India" with Ranjan Dey. (myindiashow.com), and Syndi Seid, global etiquette expert and founder of Advanced Etiquette (AdvancedEtiquette.com).
This event uniquely combines socializing, learning, practicing, and enjoying Indian food and culture, as it has been done in India for over 5000 years.
Registration includes:
- Socializing time to meet new people.
NOTE: A signature feature of all AE events is that, among everyone who agrees, you receive contact information for all who attended. This avoids spending extra time looking someone up on social media. - An Action Sheet showing key tips and items to remember from the brief presentation on the history of Diwali, and how to dine Indian style.
- Ample time for "perfect practicing" on dining with your hands, Indian style.
- Best of all, the specially designed 10-course tasting menu, plus one glass of wine. The menu and presentation have been specially designed for this event.
Menu:
- Appetizers: Mini Samosa, Bari Pakora, Mint & Tamarind Chutney
- Mains: Yellow Dal Tarka, Sag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala
- Accompaniments: Jeera Saffron Rice, Butter Naan
- Dessert: Gulab Jamun
